and Quincy Massachusetts in October of 1947. Sparkle was the nation’s first
one-hour drycleaner, employing the latest in technology to clean clothes
quickly with out sacrificing quality. The Quincy Sparkle appeared on the
Cover of the December, 1948 Life Magazine.
In March of 1970 the first successful Sparkle Franchise opened in Cambridge. Today this store, as well as the Belmont and Dorchester stores are owned and operated by the Kim Family. Today, nearly 50 years latter, the Newtonville location as well as two recently-acquired Boston locations continue to prosper under third-generation ownership. |
